Arturo Tappin began his musical career with formal training at Berklee College of Music and is referred to as the smoothest, saxiest horn man the Caribbean has to offer.
Aside from touring countless Jazz festivals the world over, Arturo has performed at numerous social engagements, including performances for past US Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, former Cuban leader Fidel Castro (twice), former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, as well as several members of the British Royal Family.
Arturo has performed with the legendary Roberta Flack, Hard Bop trumpeter Red Rodney, Roy Haynes, Reggae superstar Maxi Priest, R&B chart topper Anita Baker, Jamaican Jazz pianist and guitarist Monty Alexander and Ernest Ranglin, South African Jazz legend Hugh Masekela, Smooth Jazz crooner Will Downing, Laylah Hathaway and R&B singer Freddie Jackson.
Besides touring, Arturo has served as the Musical Director for Eddy Grant as well as recorded with Ralph MacDonald and the late, great Luther Vandross.
